Introduction
The AA2A project provides placements for visual artists and designer makers in Higher and Further Education institutions across England. In 2010/2011, AA2A schemes will run in 31 institutions, providing 124 placements nationally. In the last 11 years, over 1,100 participants have had the opportunity to undertake a period of research or realise a project, using workshops and supporting facilities in participating fine art and design departments.
AA2A Dotbiz networking site
All artists have a webpage here, on our main website, but we also have a parallel networking site at AA2A.biz (affectionately known as ‘Dotbiz’). On this new site you can follow the artists’ work in progress during their AA2A placement, as they post images, blogs and information on their exhibitions. Although the site requires ‘log in’ for participating artists, colleges and their students, nearly all of the information is also available to the public and provides a valuable record of artists individual projects.
