My practice is focused around the female form, the perception of boundaries, playing with preoccupations whilst encouraging a shift in focus associated with femininity.

On the AA2A scheme I would like to experiment through the use of manual manipulation of photographic prints within the darkroom to add to a layering technique I have evolved through my work. This work may then evolve into the use of film or animation to further describe and manipulate these feminine characteristics, expanding upon the experience of the pieces.

As those facilities are not normally available to me, the AA2A scheme will enable me to take my practice in a previously blocked direction. This will open up alternative areas and would allow connections and applications within a field that wasn’t open before.
