Plymouth College of Art 2006/2007
Bridgette Ashton
Throughout AA2A Bridgette Ashton collaborated with Kitty Wingate creating a series of short artists’ films looking at the city of Plymouth and its post-war architectural legacy.
During RIBA Architecture Week 2007 they made a number of small temporary interventions on Plymouth's central pedestrian boulevard, Armada Way where they also led an early evening 'promenade'. Participants were handed fold-out maps and were invited to take tea amongst the trees and circular benches of the city’s Civic Square.
Ashton and Wingate’s collaboration continues, as does their attempt to establish Armada Way as a ‘grand promenade’.
