My current work (hand built ceramic vessels) focuses on the surface, with imagery built up in layers at different stages. I am keen to explore ways of utilising imagery on ceramics; that can work with the forms to create a dialogue and form a significant part of the vessel. Through the scheme I have been developing the printed element of my work further, screen-printing directly onto clay slabs experimenting with a variety of inks. Screen-printed decals have also been made. With an emphasis on experimentation, a wide range of test pieces (example shown) are intended to later feed into more resolved work.
