AA2A Hotspots

'Hotspots' are towns or cities outside London which have more than one AA2A scheme.

The minimum that artists can expect if they are in one of our Hotspots is that they will have the opportunity to meet, or contact the artists from the other AA2A scheme. We encourage the institutions to include all the artists in any invitations to exhibition openings, AA2A presentations, etc. We leave it to the participating institutions to find other ways of adding value to their scheme by extending the colloboration as the Hotspot develops.

We believe the Hotspots will increase the opportunities for artists to work together on projects which develop from their placements, as well as increasing students' knowledge of the local artworld and helping institutions with graduate retention.
