I've a studio space, and I've put some work up and settled in. This week I've been mostly in the digital sauite scanning negatives and cleaning them up. So far I've applied to the Brighton photo Biennial Portfolio Review Day and a call for artists at the Newcastle under Lyme Museum Gallery for a future exhibition on the sea, which seems fitting with my work.
I've so far collated around 22-26 images which are to be considered for future exhibition, thats from aorund 15 films and the rest of the digital images. I stiull have around 30 rolls more of slide and colour 35mm to process, no idea whats on them.
I've an award from the National Media Museum, which is for funds to complete the work 'seven short one long' so I've been doing some exploration into screen calibration software and types of paper. I'm really pleased with the quality of the scanners and the new digital suite at Northumbria is looking fantastic.
I should be putting some photos up here from thr series but I'm not sure how I feel about that yet, I'd rather not reveal too much too early... x
