I was lucky enough to be an AA2A Artist a few years ago. Having access to all the workshop facilities, for example the print making workshop, with professional support from the technicians was a luxury I appreciated! Working alongside Undergraduates and MA Students, being able to discuss and share ideas and processes and then to exhibit with other AA2A Artists was quite incredible. Since then I have completed an MA Fine Art with Sculptural Textiles forming the main body of work. I work as a self-employed artist, in communities and schools, using a wide range of techniques so weaving, recycling art and installations. I am currently The Community Workshop Artist for The Trena Cox Project at Chester Cathedral celebrating her work as a stained glass artist. Being an AA2A Artist again will give me the opportunity to re-engage with my own practice and build on my previous work in print and textiles and I can't wait!
