AA2A Resident Artist

Tony Hayes

Schemes: /

I am the holder of a Certificate in Education and have worked professionally in a variety of educational environments, as a law trainer, assessor, and internal verifier at National and Regional Police Training Colleges, as a learning mentor in the arts department at Warrington and Vale Royal College and in the Photography Department of Chester University. I have also taught music in a High School for children diagnosed with the special educational needs associated with autism and Asperger’s.

I have also acted in the role of classroom assistant in a variety of subjects including English, Maths, History, PSHE, RE and Art where my responsibilities included not only practically supporting the teacher with the lesson but also one-to-one support for students who had additional numeracy and literacy needs.

I have extensive experience in one-to-one teaching and coaching in subjects as varied as law, music, photography and the use of creative software.

I would also add that I have developed additional skills of darkroom printing and portfolio building and for the past twenty years have worked as a semi-professional musician.
