Colour Compass

Trials, models and palettes, leading to a series of interelated landscape art concepts, influenced by Alchemy, the Platonic Solids, Renaissance geometry, spatial alignment, viewpoint and perspective.

The proposed 'folly' structures utilise reflective and/or thermochromic materials to emphasise the shifting qualities of light and shade, colour, spatial atmosphere, direction, form, texture. Each polyhedron integrates seating and also solar powered transmitters and/or GPS technology.

Location: Birkrigg Common, Morecambe Bay, Cumbria.
