Mark is Executive Director of Axis, the UK charity supporting contemporary visual arts. Since 2015, he has guided Axis’s shift to an independent, self financing model that puts artists first.

His leadership is grounded in stewardship, collaboration, and outreach. He works alongside artists and members to shape artist-led support and long term change, responding to the realities artists face today, particularly around money, time, and agency.
