In a world full of narcissistic voices demanding attention I make a positive choice to seek calm and peace with images which are evocative and soulful, born of solitude and self-awareness they invoke peace and tranquillity in an otherwise rabid technological world full of noise and interruptions.
My pictures of the landscape are abstractions, featuring patterns, textures and shapes which are restorative and calming. A much needed therapy in our fast paced, modern confrontational society, enabling the viewer time to contemplate, to recall moments in time that are now history.
With my portraits I aim to capture the aura of the sitter, that essence which goes un-noticed by the casual viewer, capturing a moment of contemplation which is unseen when passing by but is in truth the core of their embodiment.
What is on show is not the person, it is simply a camouflage concealing the alter-ego.
