Hailing from the Northwest of England, Christine is an established artist and has had work displayed as a finalist in the prestigious Columbia Threadneedle Prize at the Mall Galleries, London, and at the Business Design Centre, London as winner of the 2013 SAA Best Professional in Portrait and Figurative category.
Christine's work explores a broad range of subject matter, depicting people, animals, and objects as the vehicle for prompting the viewer to question the central theme and purpose of the work and to give thought to what is being communicated. Her subjects are often caught within a snapshot of time or placed within a scenario that often conveys an allegorical message relating to the broader human condition and the connections between us all. "I am interested in that which transcends the physical body and outward appearance and my work aims to capture the essence of the lived human experience within the animate or in-animate form".
