Freddy (b. 1998) blends aesthetics drawn from traditional printing practices with digital methods of image generation and distortion. His work often draws on folklore local to the Midlands, where he lives, using narrative and recurring motifs to create paintings that evoke a sense of temporal dislocation. Through repeated and combined acts of graphic manipulation, his work explores visual degradation and the interweaving of fragmented imagery.
Freddy studied Print and Time-Based Media at Wimbledon College of Art and completed his Master’s in Painting at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2024. His practice bridges techniques from both printmaking and painting, resulting in a hybrid visual language that reflects his interest in layered processes and material transformation.
