My practice as an artist working in print is to explore the dissonance and complexity of modern life through a variety of traditional and modern print processes. I use the concepts and language of print to conjure internal worlds and interrogate predicaments. My work, which include sculptures and installations, evokes a sense of our fragility and offers space for reflection. To do as Louise Bourgeois suggests and, “physicalize the problem.”
Recently, I have been exploring materiality and the forces of the non-human world at the Edge of Land, bearing witness to this space to step outside ourselves, to see beyond ourselves.
I was awarded The Hawthorn Prize in the Flourish Awards for Excellence in Printmaking in 2024. And also received The Peter Reddick bursary for Innovation in Relief Printmaking at Spike Print Studio in 2018. My shows include those at The Royal Cambrian Academy, Spike Print Studio, Oriel Mon and Hereford Courtyard, Canwood Gallery and MakeSouthWest. I have spoken at the Print Symposium 2020 on Print and The Expanded Field in Wrexham and at IMPACT 12, International Printmaking Conference in Bristol.
