Jo Biggadike - Multidisciplinary Printmaker

Jo Biggadike is a multidisciplinary printmaker with a background in textile design. She originally studied at Chelsea School of Art, later working for several years as a designer specialising in printed furnishing fabrics and wallpapers. After nearly a decade in the commercial textile industry, Jo shifted her focus toward more handcrafted printmaking methods that allowed for greater creative expression and individuality in her work.

Her practice now centres around multiple printmaking processes reflecting a tactile, organic aesthetic that is rooted in a deep appreciation of craftsmanship and grounded in her love of nature. Each piece she creates is unique—its character shaped by the materials and techniques she employs.

In 2021, Jo completed a Master’s in Illustration at the University of Gloucestershire, further expanding her visual language and narrative focus. She now sells her work both across the UK and internationally, and regularly exhibits in the Southwest, Wales, and the Midlands—participating in both solo exhibitions and as part of artist collectives. Her work has been shown at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, and she has been an Artist in Residence at Nature in Art, a museum and gallery in Gloucestershire dedicated to art inspired by the natural world.
