Lesley Guy is an artist and writer based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

She is a member of TOTALLER, a collective of artists based around the North of England and Neuschloss research group. Her recent PhD at Northumbria University was titled, I AM AN US: Exploring the Boundaries of a Shared Practice. She is interested in the overlap and gaps between solo and collaborative and creates fantastical dwelling places for artists using scraps of card, pizza boxes and papier mache. In collaboration and alone, Lesley has created large-scale assemblages, an encyclopaedic Field Guide, sound works and performances that come out of and exist within a collective Mythos. As well as making, she writes poetic research texts about other artists searching for - or struggling with - friendship, and currently teaches Writing Art at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. Lesley is Regional Editor for Corridor8 and Co-Editor for Potato, an experimental press at Northumbria University.
