Vasundhara Sellamuthu is a South Asian artist interested in themes of home, vernacular design and cross-cultural hierarchies. Her abstract relief paintings allude to twin references - colourful self-built homes in South India and western hard-edge abstract paintings, establishing a relationship between the city and the gallery wall.

She was commissioned for a permanent mural by London Borough of Waltham Forest (2023-4), selected Stellar International Art Foundation's Emerging Woman Artist of 2022, Design Doyen for Asian Paints’ Colour Next panel (2021) and received The Useful & Beautiful Project commission from Wood Street Walls X William Morris Big Local in 2020. She holds a BA in History of Art from Goldsmiths’ (2013) and an MA Fine Art from City & Guilds of London Art School (2021). Brought up in Chennai, India, she lives and works in Walthamstow, London.
