York based Documentary Photographer.
My work talks about social issues, tradition, culture and everyday life as I see these matters being treated as a luxury in modern society, rather than being preserved and valued.
Humanism and society at heart, I see photography as a medium to acknowledge, understand and help.
Working with both digital and analogue systems, and rigorously in black and white. This enables my narrating style to set a serious and reminiscent tone, while giving stories a steady and dramatic feeling all along.
My interest sits within the social-documentary practice and most of my work has been inspired by pioneers of documentary photography like W. Eugene Smith, Josef Koudelka, Henry Cartier Bresson and Robert Frank.
