Professional support and insurance for AA2A artists and students

Through our new partnership, AA2A artists, students and Student Ambassadors can access discounted or free Axis membership.

What is Axis?

Axis supports artists through funding, visibility, connection and practical help. Its membership community brings together artists working across a wide range of visual art practices, providing access to opportunities, resources, events and a national network of artists and arts professionals. Associate and Professional Membership also include £15 million of public and product liability insurance and £5 million of professional indemnity insurance, as well as access to legal, tax and counselling helplines.

Associate Membership – normally £30 per year / £3 per month

Associate Membership is a good starting point for artists who want practical support, insurance, access to member resources and events, and connection with the wider Axis community.

AA2A artists new to Axis: 50% discount on first year of Associate Membership

AA2A Student Ambassadors: 12 months free Associate Membership
Students must register using their university/college email address and must be 18+

Other students from AA2A universities: 50% discount on Associate Membership for 2 years
Students must register using their university/college email address and must be 18+

Professional Membership (normal price £55 per year / £5.50 per month)

Professional Membership is for artists with an active, developed practice who are looking to build their visibility and access additional opportunities and development support. It includes everything in Associate Membership, plus a curated artist profile, access to bursaries, fellowships and opportunities, mentoring and development support, and in-kind support that can be used in funding applications. Professional Membership is normally by application.

How to claim

Information on how to claim the discount will be provided to AA2A artists in their welcome email. Students may also receive an email from their AA2A coordinator. If you don't receive this information, please contact mags@aa2a.org for details on how to access your discount.
