I'm a professional visual artist/educator and director at 'The Birley Studios', Preston. My focus recently has been to elevate the painting profiles of female painters based in the North West of England and that has included a free painting symposium, 'Bananas are not the only paint' and curating the upcoming painting exhibition, 'The Pearls & The Oyster'.

I'm often collaborating through practice or conversation and looking at ways to expand my practice and where I can celebrate the practice of others, often underrepresented artists.

I am currently working for a charity developing an art group at St.Peter's church in Blackpool, where I provide tution for service users; developing creative skills and encouraging expression through creative activities.

I have 25 years experience of teaching art education within higher and further Education as well as schools, outreach and private tuition and mentoring.
