As an artist-educator-researcher working with drawing in its widest possible form, my practice explores connections between mark-making and the overlapping multispecies worlds of humans and nonhumans, specifically small invertebrate animals or ‘minibeasts'. Using embodied drawing I investigate my own relationships with these domestic non-human companions in my house and garden. I feel our relationship with invertebrates is fundamental to understanding the impacts of climate change and the biodiversity crisis, and our role as caring humans living on this planet. I am passionate about using drawing to discuss and explore these important issues.
