Dr Lucie (Lee) Sykes is an academic, researcher and artist in dance and digital performance practices. Her doctoral research conducted at the University of Salford (UK) focused on Shaping Dance Improvisatory Processes Intertwined with Actual and Virtual Bodies: Exploring Sculptural Qualities Within Motion Capture Environments. Her research dissemination of various publications (see Linktr.ee/lucieleesykes) and symposium presentations (UK & Internationally). By using cutting edge digital technologies, she explores and experiments with themes of extended embodiment, somatic practices, and human-machine interactions. Lucie creates interactive dance digital performances and interactive installations with multi-sensory output.
